Alright, so now that the job hunts and doc visits has been updated on, I will now fill you in on everything else that's been going on since i last posted in Dec. I received my diploma in Jan which was very exciting to see and definitely made graduating feel all official. lol. Also in Jan, i had a 3 year friendship come to end. We had been growing apart for the last 6 months or so, so while not unexpected, it was still sad. Oh, I also forgot to put in my last post from Dec, that on our very first week in our ward as a newly married couple, we were immediately called to be nursery leaders. It wasn't at all a surprise, and of course we said yes, but i wold be lying if i said i was happy at all to have this calling. I am sure God has his reasons and we will learn from this and be blessed, but really all i feel like right now is a glorified babysitter. We got assigned the 18 month olds (and have about 8 of them so far), which is hard because they really aren't old enough to teach a lesson, so the last hour is hard because we move to a classroom with no toys and are expected to keep the kids busy and entertained, which doesn't work at all. Snack time and coloring can only do so much. I decided to start bringing my own toys form now on to give them something to do after coloring time while we wait for church to end and their parents to pick them up. Its also hard because, being shut in the nursery room the whole rest of church after sacrament meeting, I don't get to meet the people of the ward, which, being brand new, would be really nice to be able to do.
Nick and I are loving married life still and can't believe it has already been 3 months. We are both doing well at work and haven't had a single problem with our renters, who are great. They always pay on-time and never have or cause any problems. They are a really nice family. : ) Nick's brother Chris, who had come home in Nov off his mission for hernia surgery, went back out Jan 18 which was great, because he had struggled with deciding if he really wanted to go back out. He has just recently been asked to baptise someone, which really helped him feel great about his decision to go back out. We are all so proud of him! My sister Alli turned 18 in Jan and will be graduating high school this year which is exciting, going on in the fall to play volleyball at the University of Utah. It will be so fun to get to go to her games! Also, my family has planned a trip to Hawaii in April, which I am so excited for! We are going to get to visit Pearl Harbor and the Polynesian Cultural center, which will be such a cool experience. I have also finally sorted all my wedding gifts, and returned almost all the ones we don't need, though there are still a few that I'm not sure where they came from. I'm glad to finally have that done though so i don't have to think about it anymore. lol. I also cut my hair to above my shoulders in Jan because it was very damaged and i wanted to give it a chance to re-grow healthier. Haha while i have been enjoying it, i do miss long hair, which i know Nick does too. He has never said anything bad about my short hair, but I know that he likes long hair better. Luckily for him, i always planned to grow it back out after cutting it, since there is more one can do with long hair over short. ; ) Hope everyone is having a great 2011 so far!
